Who We Are

Star Delaware is a global leader in a worldwide movement dedicated to ending deficiency technologically, culturally and socially. We are known everywhere for our unshakeable commitment to the dignity of people.

Our Mission

Star Delaware works around the globe to save lives, defeat technology deficiency and achieve social justice. We bring community and corporate support to the people and companies that need it most, sharing advanced knowledge, technological assistance and language studies so that no community is left behind by the pace of change. Every program we run is measured by the same standard: whether it helps people build a life of dignity and security.

Our Vision

We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where technology deficiency has been overcome and all people live with dignity and security. We imagine communities where access to knowledge and technology is not a privilege of a few but a right shared by all, and where companies and individuals work side by side to turn that access into real opportunity.

Our Focus

We put women and girls in the center because we know that we cannot overcome technology deficiency until all people have equal rights and opportunities. When women and girls gain access to education, technology and support, entire families and communities move forward with them. That is why our studies, programs and partnerships are designed to open doors for those who have historically been left out.

Our Values

We believe in urgent action, innovation, and the necessity of transformation—within the world and our own organization. These convictions are expressed through four values that guide every decision we make and every partnership we build: integrity, diversity, excellence and equality.

Integrity

We are accountable to the people and partners we humbly serve, transparently sharing our results, stories and lessons.

Diversity

We know that by embracing differences, actively including a variety of voices, and joining together we can solve the world’s most complex problems.

Excellence

We challenge ourselves to the highest level of learning and performance, tapping the best of the human spirit to create impact.

Equality

We believe in the equal value of every human being and the importance of respecting and honoring each individual; we know that change happens through people.

Our History

Star Delaware was incorporated on May 1, 1995, with private capital and three individual philanthropists. Since then, the foundation has grown from a small private initiative into an organization with activity across the United States and South America, always financed by its own means and guided by the same founding principles.

Where We Work

Our U.S. grantmaking impacts nearly every state in the nation, and our foundation is especially active in Delaware and Miami. In South America we support companies and communities in Argentina, Colombia and Chile, providing advanced knowledge, technological support and language studies.

What We Do

We provide community and corporate support for companies seeking advanced knowledge and help with their technological and language studies. In addition to support, we also provide marketing studies and paper and C&A in studies and preparation material.

How We Are Funded

Star Delaware is a self-financing, non-profit foundation. We do not accept donations or monetary compensation of any kind, and we do not sell products or services. This independence allows us to focus entirely on our mission and the people we serve.

  • Star Delaware was incorporated on May 1, 1995, with private capital and three individual philanthropists. Our desire was to transform the world of philanthropy by looking at all human beings as members of a single, global community where everyone had the opportunity to build a life of dignity. The organization would invest “Development Capital,” capital that bridges the gap between the efficiency and scale of market-based approaches and the social impact of pure philanthropy, in entrepreneurs bringing sustainable solutions to big problems of technology deficiency.
